Just had a look at the new site - mmm can't say I'm that impressed as they've missed the opportunity to really take the site to the next level, start a dialog with people living & working in the borough and embrace social media. Maybe I should have applied for the job.

Re: Theme issues

And YSlow/firebug says this page took 44.839 seconds to load, optimize dear watson!!!

Re: Theme issues

theres an ajax version of firebug, and safari has its own version which should help a lot!

Your tweets at the side on the lifestream are broken though, and the timestamps need better contrast

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

To be added

http://twitter.com/NHSLondonSHA
http://twitter.com/NHS_Enfield

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Thanks - I saw you follow @nhschoices, i was going to head over to add you this afternoon anyway!

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Hi Caspar

We're tweeting. I'm assume that a fake account wouldn't follow other NHS organisations.

I'll try DMing all of these listed and finding a contact. I don't know if you have access to NHS Comms Link which I mentioned to Huw above - it's aimed at NHS Trust comms staff and has a discussion forum. Some trusts have discussed Twitter but I think this is the only extensive list so far. I've mentioned it and if links to any more are posted, I'll put them up here. What I may do is edit the list above to indicate which accounts I've confirmed are run by the Trusts named.

I'm doing this in an entirely personal capacity, but I know at Choices we're trying to get much more involved in social media, maybe I'll raise the possibility of having an area on trust profile pages they can list their facebook and twitter profile... :)

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Great thanks :-)

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Great, I've added you (put you in 'related organisations' rather than 'mental health trusts' as you're not specifically an NHS trust, are you?)

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Hi,
Been twittering for a while, @mhequalities the National Mental Health Equalities Programme, part of nimhe. It's worrying that there's no way to verify an account, I had one follow a Choices account called NHSLondon which has been banned so I guess it was reported as being a fake.

Are you on NHS Comms Link? There's a thread in the Digital media clinic forum about twitter, a few of the Trusts listed above have posted about how they're using the service to promote their work.

Re: NHS organisations on Twitter

Hi there! I think what confused me was they weren't like traditional superheroes with either fantastic tools (batman) or superhuman abilities (superman), it just looked like they were really good at martial arts. Things like Silk Spectre being old and retired and her daughter taking over weren't explained as far as I could see. The wikipedia article didn't clear things up either, hopefully the book will.

Re: Watching Watchmen

I'm like you... want to see it again to be sure what I think about it. I really liked the concept, though: they're both superheroes and vigilantes (like all superheroes, when you think about it). Properly dark and conflicted. And, yes, the bignosed Nixon casting was a mistake.

I bought the book this weekend. Loving it so far.
